The fine, colourless hair on your cheeks and jaw — peach fuzz — is the reason foundation sometimes looks like it's sitting on top of your face rather than in it. Remove it and your base goes on flat and stays put.
No wax, no strips, no appointment. It trims at the surface rather than pulling from the root, so there's no stinging and you can do it whenever you like.
Where it works
- Cheeks and jaw — peach fuzz, for makeup that sits properly
- Upper lip — the precision head handles this without the burn of wax or cream
- Brow line — tidying strays underneath, though for shaping use tweezers
- Between the brows
How to use it
- Clean, dry skin — no oils or creams, they clog the head
- Pull your skin taut with your free hand
- Move the head in small circles or short strokes against the direction of growth
- Wipe it clean afterwards with the brush provided
- Every week or two, depending on how fast yours grows
Being honest about it
This trims rather than epilates from the root, so regrowth comes back in days rather than weeks. That's the trade-off for it being painless. If you want weeks of smoothness, waxing or threading is still the answer.
It won't make hair grow back thicker — that's a myth — but blunt-cut regrowth can feel slightly coarser to the touch for a day or two.
Please avoid
Broken skin, active spots, moles, and eyebrows you actually care about the shape of. Don't use it over an area you've just exfoliated or had waxed. If you have very sensitive skin, try a small patch on your jaw first.
Questions we get asked
Will it cut me? The head is guarded, so it's very difficult to. Go slowly over bone.
Can I use it in the shower? No — dry skin only.
Is it loud? A quiet buzz.
How do I clean it? Brush the head after each use and rinse the detachable part if yours allows it. Trapped hair is the usual reason these lose power.
