Hot on one side, cold on the other, ultrasonic vibration throughout. Five minutes with this does what a facialist spends the first half of an appointment doing — open everything up, get product in, then bring it all back down and tighten.
Warm mode first, when your skin is receptive and you want your serum to actually go somewhere. Cold mode last, when you want redness settled and your face looking less puffy before you leave the house.
How to use each mode
Warm — after cleansing, with serum on. Glide upwards and outwards for two minutes. Skin softens and product sinks in rather than sitting there.
Cold — last step, on bare or moisturised skin. Two minutes over the areas that get puffy: under the eyes, along the jaw, across the cheeks. Instant and very noticeable.
Ultrasonic vibration — runs in both modes. It's what makes the massage feel like a treatment rather than just a warm spoon.
A realistic routine
- Cleanse
- Serum on damp skin
- Warm mode, two minutes, upwards and outwards
- Moisturiser
- Cold mode, two minutes, wherever you're puffiest
Every day if you like it, or before anything you're getting ready for. There's no build-up period with this one — it works the first time you use it.
Please read before buying
Don't use the warm function on inflamed or broken skin, on an active rosacea flare, or over sunburn. Avoid it entirely if you have a condition that affects how well you feel heat. Don't use it over fillers without checking with whoever administered them, and skip it if you're pregnant. Keep sessions to a few minutes — longer isn't better and prolonged heat on the face isn't a good idea. Cosmetic appliance, not a medical device.
Questions we get asked
What's the difference between the two models? They're different supplier configurations. Check the images carefully before choosing, and message us if you're unsure — we'd rather answer than have you return it.
Can I use it with an oil? Yes, and it's rather good over facial oil in warm mode.
Is it waterproof? Splash-resistant, not submersible. Don't use it in the shower.
Does the cold get properly cold? Cold enough to be bracing on the under-eye. Not ice-cold — if you want that, an ice roller is cheaper and colder.
