It's a small vibrating wand, roughly the size of a thick pen, and it does one thing: it helps whatever you've just applied sink in instead of sitting on top of your skin. Vibration improves absorption and it feels rather good after a long day.

How to use it

Being straight about what it is

This is an entry-level tool and we'd rather say so. It doesn't do microcurrent, it doesn't heat or cool, and it won't lift or contour anything. What it does is improve product absorption and provide a pleasant two-minute massage, and for £14.99 that's a fair deal.

If you want visible contouring, the microcurrent device is the one. If you want de-puffing, an ice roller is cheaper and does it better. If you want something small that makes your existing serums work slightly harder and lives in a handbag, this is it.

Does it need charging? Yes, USB. A charge lasts weeks at a couple of minutes a day.

Can I use it on my neck and hands? Yes, and it's rather nice on the back of the neck.

Is it strong enough to feel? Yes, but it's a gentle massage rather than a deep one. That's appropriate for facial skin.
