A handheld version of the LED masks we sell — same idea, smaller, and you steer it yourself rather than wearing it.

The advantage is targeting. You can spend longer on your jaw or your forehead rather than giving every part of your face the same dose. The disadvantage is that you have to hold it, which is exactly why some people prefer the mask.

What the light modes are for

  • Red — the main one, used for the appearance of fine lines and firmness
  • Blue — commonly chosen for blemish-prone skin
  • Green — for the look of uneven tone and pigmentation

How to use it

  1. Cleanse and dry. Bare skin — serums and creams block the light
  2. Hold it against one area for two to three minutes, then move on
  3. Ten to fifteen minutes across the whole face
  4. Keep your eyes closed whenever it's near them
  5. Apply your serums afterwards. Skin takes them well

Three or four times a week. More often isn't better.

Please read before buying

Don't use it if you're sensitive to light or taking anything photosensitising — that includes some antibiotics, isotretinoin and St John's wort. If you have epilepsy or are affected by flashing light, don't use it. If you're pregnant or being treated for a skin condition, speak to your GP or dermatologist first.

Honest expectations

LED is a consistency device. Nothing visible in week one, or week two. Something by week six if you use it three or four times a week. If you won't keep that up, don't buy any LED device — ours included.

Questions we get asked

This or the LED mask? The mask is hands-free and covers everything at once, which most people find easier to stick with. This is better if you want to target specific areas, or if you'd rather spend less.

Is it cordless? Yes.

Can I use it on my neck? Yes, and it's a good use of a handheld device.

Does it get hot? Slightly warm at most.
